Bryan Olson, CFA
President, Member of the Investment Committee
Bryan Olson is President of Windhaven Investment Management, Inc. He leads the firm’s Sales, Marketing, Client Relations, and Trading and Operations teams. He serves as a member of the Management Committee, Portfolio Management Team, and has served as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee since its formation in 2012. Bryan joined Windhaven from Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. (Schwab) where he was Senior Vice President and Head of the Portfolio Consulting Group. Prior to that, he led teams in the Schwab Center for Financial Research that conducted asset allocation and investment manager research, and contributed to the development of Schwab’s quantitative mutual fund rating system. He has served on Schwab’s Investment Strategy Council, the firm’s Advice Policy Committee and also on the Investment Committee of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America from 2008 to 2010.
In addition to Windhaven, Bryan serves as President of Thomas Partners, Inc., also a wholly owned subsidiary of The Charles Schwab Corporation. His views and analyses of investment issues have been published in the Journal of Financial Planning and the Research Foundation of the CFA Institute. He has also been cited in media such as The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and BusinessWeek.
Bryan earned a B.S. in Finance from Weber State University, served six years in the U.S. Naval Reserve and is a CFA® charterholder.
